His forehead against mine was...wow. He watched me... I watched him. Thats how I knew he wasn’t going to do it. He wasn’t going to kiss me! I opened my mouth to speak... but he whispered, “keep still... and do close your mouth. I’m trying to be honourable here, you know.”
I closed my mouth, and very nearly smiled... if only he weren’t so close. I closed my eyes, and sighed...as a result of him pulling me slowly from the swing to stand me before him. With his forehead against mine... our nose kissing... and our breaths mingling... he taught me something.
He whispered, “Lesson number one... never look at a guy like that if all you want him to do is be your friend. Got it?”
I nodded slowly, and whispered breathlessly, “Sir yes sir!”
He smiled, “Number two...Only ask the guy to be your friend if you trust him... it takes heart to move from wanting to kiss the T out of your name... to patting you on the back,”
I stammered this time, “Ye_ yes sir!”
His lips seem to hover over mine! Mine tingled!
“And finally... lesson number three...this one... it calls for you to look me in the eyes” his voice was only a shadow above a whisper, and she did meet his gaze then, and he was waiting.
