A story set around the time of world war II with the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The story, while maintaing a few historical allusions (fictional and non-fictional), involves Sergeant Hughley and his relationdhip with the Madison sisters, Barbra and Alberta.  It explores a plethorea of themes such as love, heartbreak, betrayal, and  tragedy with an anonymous note appearing out of nowhere ever so often.

It also delves into a number of subthemes, one of which is the friendship between sergeant Hughley and officer Logan.
