This is an online and open edition of my Independent Study Project for my 2018 Biology class. I told my teacher I'd post it alongside the copy I hand in.
The year is 2110. Most of Mid and Southern North America is made up of big cities and farmland. Ellia Ryker is an Anthrozoologist currently studying the interactions between humans and birds so she travels up north, where there is one of the largest and only aviary populations left. Along her journey she gets caught up in an apparent murder case that appears to involve a large bird of prey that few people have seen before: the Raptor Jay.
This case, leaving police confused and residents of the small town terrified, brings together Canada's best Wildlife Forensic Scientist, Dr Marcus Talbot and new graduate Ellia to solve one of the strangest deaths ever seen.

The Case of The Rippler
(Kind of bad cover art is made by me) "Didn't think this right, did you, Skullram?" Why'd you go out and do all of this, The Rippler? Just tell me! There had been missing cases happening around a small city in Maine, Eros, in which twenty-five missing cases had resulted into murder, all bodies being found, twisted in ways, covered in ink and some sort of rope that had materialized similar to octopus tentacles, wrapped around each individual body. The detectives working on the unexpected murders just concluded that everyone just dies from a new species of an animal, but in reality, it's something way different. It's caused by a very abnormal and twisted looking monster by the name of 'The Rippler.' There was only one group, the Numbskulls, that had been brave enough to even try and defeat 'The Rippler' as they had figured clues along the way for solving the murder cases. The Grant Files: Stranded on Isla Sorna
First and foremost, this is a fanfictional reimagining of Jurassic Park 3. If you are not a fan of reimaginings, this is not the story for you. This is not an original story. It may be an original creative spin on a pre-existing story, but it is not 100% original. Please do not bring negativity here. If you do not like it, then do not read it. Ignore it. Secondly, this reimagining includes a character with alien and predator origin elements, and thus, there are AvP elements implemented into this reimagining. There is a dropship as well as Yautja technology, medicine, and a shadowed appearance of an original Yautja character I created. The time period may be in the nineteen hundreds for this reimagining, 1996 to be exact, but the AvP character has access to technology, medicine, and all other things, far beyond the nineteen hundreds. Lastly, this reimagining is part of a larger fanfictional reimagining of many sci-fi horror thriller franchises. It's mainly linked with my AvP universe I put together as the AvP character in this story is the main character of those stories. The legendary artifact they'd come to find was left behind along with the evidence of its discovery. His story debunked, Swift became a pariah reduced to teaching Archeology 101 to freshmen. It is now 22 years later. And the serial killer suddenly terrorizing New York City may be one of those monsters. The Police Commissioner wants Gulliver's help. And he wants no part of it. What he saw on the island was the figment of a fevered imagination cracking under pressure-but does a figment leave a trail of charred bodies torn apart by what could only be non-human hands? The Guardian Raptor {A Jurassic world Fanfiction}
Moon wasn't meant to be alive. A biological and scientific failure so shouted by the head scientist when he hatched. Moon was a Velociraptor...A Male Raptor. He was the oldest and strongest of a pack of five Velociraptors. The other four were all successfully hatched as females unlike Moon. Arguments ensued before the final decision of having Moon placed in his own pen right next to the females was decided. When Owen, The Velociraptor Trainer, came in to train Moon, he wouldn't have it. After a long while, Moon decided to just deal with it. When the Indominus Rex broke free, Moon stood to protect the one that had protected him so many times. And so, this is the story of how Moon protected his own saviour and his female's family. Prehistoric Safari
The genesis for this story was actually a computer program: a Dorling Kindersley product called "3D Dinosaur Hunter". Disc two allows you to wander around six 3D environments, interacting with dinosaurs. Once, I took several pictures in each of the six sections -- I can't remember if it was with the standard print screen option or if the program has a built-in snapshot feature. And at first, that's all it was: just an album of pictures from the program. Then I hit on the idea to write a story around those pictures. And that's how this story developed: every event was just written to try and justify one of the pictures. Naturally, I inserted the relevant pictures into the document at the proper places, and I've decided to do the same thing here. The story is about a photographer sent back to dinosaur times in order to test a newly invented time machine. I first wrote it in 2005, and there's only so much I could edit in the intervening years due to the limits set by the source program. For example, the program was made before it was concluded that raptors had feathers, so unfortunately the outdated image is still present here. Also, the program erroneously has Brachiosaurus rear up on its hind legs to reach higher branches; in real life, it was too front-heavy to do that. But, regardless of those few inaccuracies, I hope you enjoy it.Complete
