During the 1900s there was so much stigmatisation around mental health. People who weren't happy were automatically diagnosed with a mental health issue and where shipped away to an asylum where they were treated as a thing rather than a human being. Nobody understood them and no one understood that with time people can actually get better. Clara was at the mists of it. She was allergic to the human touch but it seemed as though she was crazy and before she even got a chance to explain she was gone. But maybe next time you'll listen...
