Arthur Pendragon is going to be the greatest king in history, but he is not expected to do it alone. There is a prophecy that Arthur will not only unite Albion, but that he will marry a woman of peasant blood. Uniting not only the Kingdoms, but the people as well. 
Arthur Pendragon is immediately entranced when he meets Gaius's niece Edelinne. She spoke to him with honesty as well as kindness. She didn't care that was a Prince, as Pendragon's have treated her kind with hatred. But despite that her heart is not filled with hate and anger. When Arthur tries to see her he learns that her heart belongs to another.
