Versailles, France, March 21th 1771. This date marks the encounter between two souls who could never be without each other in the court of Versailles. The flourishing family of De Montmarset, prestigious and regal, enters Versailles upon the last request of King Louis XV in order to assist the dauphin in his future tedious journey as a monarch. The Marquis of Montmarset is the proud father of France's most beautiful woman, a rose amongst flowers with a golden voice, Angélique. Without equal, graceful and adored, she who must not be sullied is Versailles's or perhaps France's most sought-after marriage partner.
