Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero. I was a fairly normal girl, growing up in Central City. A city where superheroes and super villains didn't exist... until the particle accelerator exploded. Many people were turned into these metahumans, me being one of them. Likely one of the only changed nine year olds at the time. My parents were both scientists for Star Labs, being two of the many others that died in the blast. Needing to get away, I decided to move to Gotham. A good city to hide in. Maybe it wasn't the best city to move to, but, in the end, I'm glad I did. In the crazy town, I was adopted by the two craziest people there. The Deranged Duo, Harley Quinn and Joker. "Rescued by villains, who knew?" I say. "Villains rescue fellow villains," Joker says. "Sounds funny coming from you," I scoff. "Aww, is that the way you should treat your saviors?" Joker teases. "I could've taken them," I scoff. "Why did you save me?" "We watched you take out the last group of thugs," Harley says. "We've been looking for a protégé, sorta like how Batsy has that sidekick, Robin, was it?" Joker grins. "We like you. You're funny." ... And someone as young and vulnerable as Dick was perfect for the taking. So, that's what Slade Wilson did. He took the small, impressionable boy as his own. Robin finally escapes the torture of the experiments and uses his new found power to guide his way through to the mountain. Because of the constant serum input, he is blind. Finally reunited with his old team, the team finds how secretive and broken Robin looks now and what will happen if his old master wants him back? How far will Deathstroke go to get him back? Also can the team bring Dick back from his lowest point in life? Will they be able to fix him after the mental and emotional abuse from Deathstroke, or will he be broken and lost forever?
