At a young age, Violet had lost all sight. She had slowly forgotten what the world looked like, what her parents looked like, even herself. But as she grew up, she learnt to live with it and it became a part of her everyday life. But Violet always wished to be able to see again. To be able to see all those pretty colours again. She'd always dream of this, but, deep down...she knew it would never happen. So Violet followed her second biggest dream, to travel. She travelled from Venice to Spain, Australia to Japan, Germany to Korea. Violet absolutely loved it. The final place on her wish list was Paris, France. The city of love. Or to her, Blind love.

In her thirties, she walked away from a life that felt like it was closing in-leaving behind the familiar streets of Europe, a routine love, and the safety of everything she knew. Drawn by the promise of something greater, something electric, she chose New York. A city of endless lights, endless possibilities, and endless illusions. But instead of finding herself, she found emptiness. Nights blurred into fleeting encounters, brief touches that never lingered, and hollow moments disguised as connection. Beneath the vibrant pulse of the city, she felt nothing. No love, no fire, no sense of belonging-just a growing void. These are her chronicles-a raw and intimate journey of a woman lost between who she was and who she thought she could become. It's a story of longing, of chasing meaning in a world that offers only illusions, and of coming to terms with a brutal truth: sometimes, before you can find yourself, you have to confront the emptiness inside.
