*COMPLETED* Over the years, I'd written many pieces of writing, and shared barely a fraction of them here. As of 2022, I found myself back here again, and in dire need of somewhere to write, and somewhere to share it. This is a collection of poems covering various states of emotion throughout a journey of healing, along with a few of my best from years before. Wave (Book 2)
I had survived the first. That was then; this is now. The blindfold of so many pills slowly died away and first though my finger then my head, a passion, a hurt and a need filled me as every moment was consumed with words; every breath with wisps of ink. But they were not all captured and somewhere in the deep abyss of living, lies the unspoken, almost unfelt feelings of decades in months. This is the half-empty account off all those nights from December through into the new year and the end of March. ...I pains me to share it. But it also makes it just not my problem anymore and that is something I long for- freedom and peace. Please note that all grammatical and linguistic, as well as those in punctuation and spelling or placing of words were intentional. His Regret, Her Salvation
"I won't let anyone harm you..ever again." He promised, eyes filled with determination and possessiveness. Afterall, she is his...only his. "I know." She smiled kissing his cheek, her eyes filled with hope and happiness. ~~~ "I...I wi-ill protect you.." He pleaded, his voice cracking. He took a tentative step forward, but she recoiled, her body trembling with the weight of past pain. She looked at him, her eyes hollow, a tear tracing the line of her cheek as she let out a bitter laugh. "𝒁𝒂𝒌𝒉𝒂𝒎 𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒆 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒆...𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒉𝒂𝒎 𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒆 𝒌𝒊 𝒃𝒂𝒂𝒕 𝒏𝒂𝒉𝒊 𝒌𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆." My Bad Luck
Everyone suffered through hard times in the COVID years. Olivia, on the other hand suffered through everything. She felt like the universe targeted her, and that she would never get a good ending. Her hope that things would get better was fading by the day. Did she do something wrong? She must have done something to deserve such punishments. Well, at least that is what she believes. After the loss of her beloved younger sister, she needed to step up. But what she wasn't prepared for was having to protect her little brother from her own parent. Feeling lost, and never feeling the comfort of a home, will Olivia be able to break her bad luck? "Because maybe all along I am the reason everyone else had to start suffering in 2019."
