Wasted nights on the couch, eyes blood-red with a empty bottle in his hand, the worn out radio playing a soft tune as the night grew older. That's how it always went, it would never change...it wasn't his fault though, not entirely.
No matter the cause, if the enemy won, they would all point fingers to their "savior".
A failure, a freak, a fake hero is what they saw now. No appreciation for the effort he put to save the town, putting their lives before his. Lonely because no one wanted to be seen with a loser as him, only to keep their heroic reputation. The enemy was now cherished for being the most powerful. Mistreated, an outcast, a no one.
He won no medal no trophy no reward no DAMN thank you......

But he did win the enemy's heart.

If you haven't go read, "Broken Heart" that is probably one of the most underrated stories I've written thus far, cause this is a sequel to that story. Many Years Had Passed, since the events of "Broken Heart" and Shaundre couldn't be happier...he has a loving family, a loving Uncle, an adorable younger sister...but of course things couldn't always be happy, base on the stories that his grandmas told him, his birth dad wasnt the best parent, so when the new kid showed up to his day care with a father that looked like his birth father, he knew he had to say hello.
