Five kingdoms lay tucked on a lone continent. All rivals, yet peace has been among them for centuries. The kingdoms all wield a special magical attribute; Shadow, Fire, Water, Wind , or Earth. Every generation, the King's and Queens of each land send their heirs high into the northern mountains of Ulma. They are to be trained by a council old as time. The council are feared above anything else due to their unending elemental powers and their ability to see into ones future. Among the council lay an army, fierce and loyal to only them. Five heirs are sent to the mountains to train along side these soldiers and to be mentored by the great council. Except something is amiss in Ulma, something that will shake the world.

Luna, the heir to the throne of Ellopia, was unlike anyone else in her kingdom. She had not been blessed by Mother, the divine force who safeguarded their land. For as long as she could remember, her people had called her "unblessed" and "unwanted," a constant reminder of her difference. When the Hotlake-the sacred lake of molten crimson waters-began to wither and cool, the kingdom was thrown into turmoil. As one of the three holy places that shielded Ellopia from external threats, its failing magic endangered everyone. Without the Hotlake's strength, the kingdom's defenses would collapse, leaving it vulnerable to forces long held at bay. The healers revealed a devastating truth: no one with magic could approach the lake without their power being consumed by its instability. Luna, untouched by magic, was the only one who could enter its sacred waters and uncover the cause of the disturbance. With her came Ellorial, her father's trusted advisor, a man known for his sharp mind and striking presence. His piercing eyes and commanding demeanor seemed to light a fire in those around him. Skilled in both diplomacy and combat, Ellorial's role was to guide and protect Luna on this dangerous journey. Armed with little more than her wits, an ancestral blade that had never tasted battle, and Ellorial by her side, Luna began her journey into the unknown.
