In 10772, an enormous mountain range split two warring empires of humanity. On the left lie the Heenas a strictly ordered society in which jobs and hierarchical positions are assigned at birth. On the left lie the Cai, a brutal empire in which warriors are celebrated and Angels are captured and executed.

The Archangel Jensiel is responsible for the creation of the enormous mountain range known as the Divide. He's also responsible for the death of hundreds, if not thousands, of Cai citizens who lived in small towns on the edge of the Divide. He is the most hated creature of the Cai empire, and killing him would bring anyone the highest of honors.

Devon lost his mother and sister. He ran from his home and sought the one place he could enact revenge: the military. There he would learn to use magic and weapons to eventually locate and avenge his family's murder.

What happens when Devon comes face-to-face with his mother and sister's killer? What happens when Jensiel finds the perfect way to finish his final quest and relinquish his command over the armies of Heaven?
