They have to deal with their alcoholic father, Frank Gallagher, and get help and support from their neighbors, Veronica and Kev. However, their family is quite dysfunctional. Ian and Hazel share a similar secret, Hazel and Ian help Kev, Veronica, and Lip get money in sometimes illegal ways, Carl is constantly getting into trouble in school, Frank gets his kids into debt, and so much more. Can they make it?
