Finn Wolfhard is the heart throb of the school. He is the star of the football team, he's devilishly handsome, he's popular, he has it all. Him and his friends practically rule Hawkins Prep. He was immature, and didn't really care much about his grades as long as he was passing. He could win any girl over in an instant with his infamous smile.

Millie Brown is a small, insecure girl who lives in the background. She is quiet, yet observant. A certain boy has caught her eye since sophomore year of high school, but she knows that he wouldn't even spare a look at her. She has trouble opening up to people and has a select few friends whom she loves dearly.

But both teens feel as if something is missing in their lives, but they're not sure what it could be.

And one fateful night in December of senior year, they just might find the missing piece to each other's puzzles.
