Last Man Standing

“It seems to me as if everyone has their own inner demons – things that hold them back, you know, like loss, addiction, abuse, and so many others. But it’s how you get over those misfortunes that define who you are. It’s how even in the midst of uncertainty and the unknown, you get back on your feet and choose to live. Sometimes you just have to look those demons in the eye and take them out yourself. You have to kill them, before they kill you – before they become you. You have to choose to live and obliterate their existence. Because it’s impossible to share a world with them. Try as you might, those demons will multiply. But if you stand firm, if you don’t lose faith, I will guarantee you that you will be the last one standing. Not them, but you. And I know it, I do. You’re going to be be the last man standing.”
