(This is one of my first forays into making proper writing, and especially the first with Fallout, although it takes place in a different location to all the other games, specifically: Florida! Although I don't live there so I apologize if I make any mistakes down the road. Constructive criticism is always welcome, and I hope you enjoy!)

By Saturday, 23rd of October 2077, the world was swept by nuclear fire. The wars of resource and ideology fought over by the world's largest nations, ended suddenly and abruptly. A dark age was ushered upon the world that day, one that it may not ever truly recover from. But I'm sure you all know how the story goes.

There are those who managed to survive unscathed however, in those.. Vaults. We all know the story behind those underground cages.. luring in desperate people thinking that they're safe from atomic fire. While that may be true, in truth, they were getting themselves into something much worse than immediate death by incineration.

The state of Florida was no exception, it had Vaults as well, all dedicated to equally cruel and inhumane 'pursuits of science'. Near the ruins of what was known as Orlando, lies Vault 97, one such testaments of morbid curiosity. However, what lay within this Vault in particular was something nobody had expected.. something truly.. Inhuman. But he is the one, the one they truly needed.

The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? Disclaimer: I do not own Zombies, Run! or its characters, nor do I own Dystopia Rising LARP. This is just my Rookie's reaction to the Dystopia Rising New Adventure in the Zombies, Run! App.

** This shit complete ass, I wrote it when I was like 14 so I mean.... ass! Yall dont have to read, in fact, please dont. But I mean, I'm obviously not forcing you not to, so you do you, G. But before you say ANYTHING, yes, this shit trashy trash. In the year 1945, my great-great grandfather, serving in the army, wondered when he'd get to go home to his wife and the son he'd never seen. He got his wish when the US ended World War II by dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The World awaited Armageddon; instead, something miraculous happened. We began to use atomic energy not as a weapon, but as a nearly limitless source of power. People enjoyed luxuries once thought the realm of science fiction. Domestic robots, fusion-powered cars, portable computers. But then, in the 21st century, people awoke from the American dream. Years of consumption lead to shortages of every major resource. The entire world unraveled. Peace became a distant memory. It is now the year 2077. We stand on the brink of total war, and I am afraid. For myself, for my husband, for my infant son - because if my time in the army taught me one thing: it's that war, war never changes. Characters, Items, and places in this story belong to Bethesda. All in this story belong to Bethesda except for my two characters "Joshua Griffin" and "Ava Johnson." Any relation to any people and/or places is pure coincidental. #157 in Fallout #20 in solesurvivor #11 in cait #4 in falloutfanfiction #81 in hancock #18 in dogmeat #98 in danse

***CURRENTLY UNDERGOING MASS NARRATIVE OVERHAUL - PLEASE GO TO MY NEW BOOK 'INHUMAN (NEW)' ON MY PROFILE. I'VE DECIDED TO TAKE THE NARRATIVE IN A NEW DIRECTION AND WILL BE TRYING TO RETURN TO, REVISE AND ADD TO THE STORY MORE OFTEN. THANK YOU! *** Beth: I'm one of the many working to find a cure for the virus so that humanity can live and die naturally once more. The difference between me and the others looking for a cure is I've found something that could lead to one - and it could change everything. I know I'm being watched. I know that I'm in danger. Some don't want to go back to the old ways. They say we deserve our curse and that it's our eternal punishment for the crimes committed by our ancestors. I say to hell with them. Whatever is causing us to die before our time isn't natural. I'll fight until my dying breath to find a cure. Jay: She thinks she knows the truth, but she only knows one part of an even bigger lie. I don't know if I can trust her, but still I have to try. If I can save her, it might be the beginning of a new era. If I can save her, maybe she can save us all. Generations of humanity have been plagued by the virus ever since an extremist group unleashed it. Hope has all but faded. Humanity it seems is lost. All efforts to find a cure have failed. Until now.
