In this world, there are two different races. Humans and enhanced Humans, also known as the Gaila. The only difference between Gaila and regular humans are the Gaila have superpowers. Some Gaila use their powers wisely, becoming superheroes or supervillains while others choose to stay in the dark, trying to live as normal of a life as they can get. 22-year old Rubi Aurorus was born Gaila but she had no idea up until the moment she was forced to be a villain, soon gaining the name Nyx, with a superpower of teleportation. The only problem is that her best friend, 23-year-old Theodosia Rosser has chosen the life of a superhero, using her flight superpower and donning the name Indizu. None of the two know that in one life, they love each other, but in the other, they are mortal enemies.
