Veshti are a human 'species' that have evolved DNA's that are compatible and even reliable on mercury. No one really knows how mercury found it's way into their systems in such big quantities, but through the years pressed by the hostile conditions, their genetic material developed a tolerance for the metal, to protect itself from being erased or damaged. The iron in their blood, bonded with the new metal creating a strongly magnetised compound which gives them telekinesis-like abilities.

While tortured and held captive as a prisoner of war, she became my reason to keep breathing. The force that fueled my will to fight. To survive. My true path to redemption. Which is why I'll leave no stone unturned, why I will scorch this world to the ground if that's what it takes to save them. And when I do, I will fight to convince her once and for all they are meant to be mine, just as I was destined to be theirs.
