Dear diary,
Hello. My name is Lily and this is my new diary. My teacher wants us to write a diary entry everyday this week. So for day one, I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. I am seven years old with blonde hair and blue eyes. I live with my mum and dad. I was named after my mum as her middle name is Lily! Me and mum are very similar. We look alike, we both LOVE the colour pink, and we love to draw. Mum is really good at drawing and I want to be that good when I grow up. Dad likes sports and me and him like to watch basketball on the TV sometimes. I would love to play basketball but I don't think I would be very good at it.

This is going to be weird. At first at least. I haven't talked to you in over a year, but the teacher said we should use this diary to express our emotions and the only one I could ever be one hundred percent honest with is you.
