Vampires are nothing but demons. That is all hunters are taught in school. Hunters like Jack Knight are different though. Jack grew up, a girl in a male dominated race. She fought to be the best, and she achieved it. She promised she would never fall in love, because it made you weak. One night, while out on the hunt, she crosses path with the week long awaited pray, killing the demon. In its last breath it vows that its brother would take vengeance on her. Jack is not worried, she was unbeatable, with no weakness. When that brother shows up though, a weakness grows. She is intrigued by the handsome vampire, but he doesn't know who she is... or what she has done. And so begins the Hunt of Intrigue. Will Jack be not so invincible? This book is about a young witch, who was always taught ever since she was a kid, to be scared of Vampires. Vampires and witches have been enemy's for centuries. The young witch Phoenix observed a certain vampire for years, who was torturing the innocent. She was not obeying the rules. When being a vampire, you only are allowed to feed on the ones who murder. If a human has murdered someone, then they deserve to die themselves. So the society of the supernatural made the rule to only feed on the guilty. The witches in this society are supposed to protect the humans of the innocent and keep the vampires and werewolves in line. Only because of this the vampire's dislike the witches and now there is a war between them. Phoenix is trying to do her job and protect the innocent, only this certain vampire has gone on a killing spree, and won't stop. And definitely doesn't care what some little old witch says, and every time she tries to kill her she threatens to kill her family, starting with her mother. While reading this book you will learn, that witches were chosen to protect because even though vampires have the power to kill, witches are stronger. And phoenix will learn the ups and downs of a vampire and also learn to reunite both sides in order to defeat a common enemy. The only question is will she survive this nightmare.
