But he left one person behind on that trip to fame, showing how his humanity could stay intact.  He was turned into this demon with a blood lust by Liam Payne, and refused to allow it to ruin that one person.  So he left her behind.  Archer Weston was the only girl who ever knew Niall.  She herself maintained a simple secret so she could maintain the friendship at all cost, because that was the most she could get as long as Niall maintained his human form.
