"So you're saying that the gas has caused our D.N.A to mutate and change?" questioned Lauren.

"Yes"

"So...are we...still human?"

"No." he paused for a second to study their shocked faces.

"You're Superhuman."


Scientists are on the verge of creating a new and renewable energy source, however there is only one downside. If this newly created gas comes into contact with oxygen then it instantly turns poisonous. Four scientist find this out the hard way as an experiment goes wrong and they become exposed to the deadly gas. However they do not die, in fact the gas changes them and they all end up with 'Super Powers'. While some call them Gods, other call them Abominations. Follow Shaun, Lauren, Chas and Archie in a story full of laughter, love and tears as they find out that it isn't that half bad being a Freak.

In one year, one million people across New Jersey die--and no one knows why. At the same time, thousands of people develop supernatural abilities and no one knows why--not even these new "subhumans". Some can fly, some can read minds, and some can bend steel with their bare hands. Thinking these new subhumans are terrorists, the military hunts and guns them down. One subhuman named Eli Hunter rescues Kat from a group of trained killers then leads her on the run. They escape into Manhattan with Kyle, Beth, and other subhuman refugees where they think they'll be safe. While there, they discover a genetics lab that has been leaking GMO's to the public that may be linked to their powers and make plans on breaking in to find answers. But Kat has learned to never trust anyone and is convinced she can protect herself while the rest of the world is falling apart. Kyle wants revenge on the ones killing them, Eli wants to know where his powers have come from, and Kat only wants to be normal again. With soldiers after them and mad scientists waiting for them inside the lab, they may not make it through this alive, let alone find the answers they're looking for. Understand?" He asks me. I nod. He places a kiss on my lips and a kiss on my collarbone. "Good," I peek at my lashes again to find golden boy looking elsewhere. Yet, they don't know it until they reach the age of eighteen. Their birth are special. All corresponding to nature and it's element. Many are rare some are common. But not everyone is an element. Some are Ordinary. But there are some elements that are not meant to mix. Fire and water. The only elements that won't go. But when Asher and Sky meet it is a new challenge. Joined by his new partner, Jenna Jones, he pursues a secretive manhunt for the Soldiers Of The New World, an underground E.H. crime organization that has a hand in all that is illegal, and their mysterious leader: String, who, seemingly, has eyes and ears everywhere. While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has. As String's ambitions grow beyond just controlling the city's underbelly Adlet and Jenna are forced to take action with an ally he did not desire. While prejudice against E.H.s reaches it's peak because of a horrific tragedy, the Soldiers of the New World waste no time to expand their reach and rally for their cause of taking over the city. Adlet goes to the edge of sacrificing everything and back again. On the way, betrayal awaits at every corner. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind. The victims of these horrific acts are not taking that lightly. Why not make a team of heroes? A team that doesnt give a shit what the NSA or the Mayor has to say. A team of young teens who probably don't even listen to each other. That will save the world...
