IF YOU USE AN IDEA PLEASE MENTION Hello, my name is Evangeline Waters. I’m 14 years old. Ever since our mother died nine years ago in a fire, my twin brother, Jack Waters, and me have been on the run. Foster home to foster home we’ve been. Passing from state to state we’ve been running for eight years. When our mother died, we were sent directly to an orphanage, but in less than a month, we ran away. Far away from the ashes of our house in the outskirts of Manhattan Island in New York City, far away from our home in Manhattan Island. And I know what you may be thinking right now, what about out father. Well we never knew our father, never met him. Our mother never had any photos of him, and if she had any, they would have burned long ago in that dreadful fire, end of story. In some foster homes, we spent more time in them before we ran away; but in total, we ran away exactly eleven times. Now, you may think that our lives couldn’t get any worse, right? Well you were wrong. ‘Cause now a twenty-foot tall, heavily tattooed coach is attacking us with a baseball bat.

Hailey has lived in Wisconsin all her life, yet she never seems to stay in the same spot for more than a few years. She has seen every crook and cranny of the dairy state, but after an accident, she finds herself in the state of New York. She lives with her grandma in a small house in the suburbs of Manhattan. Despite all she's been through, she loves living with the one person she felt closest to, away from trouble. Until now. Beth has grown up in the Windy City and stayed there for her whole life. Her mom has decided that going to New York for vacation would be a good idea. They're now staying in a hotel close to the beautiful sights of Long Island Sound and hopes to relax.
