This is the story of avatar Aangs older sister Aliyah. She is called the Protector of the avatar. She is not a bender, but she does have some cool powers that will be explained.
I'm just going to say this once, it is a slow burn and it is Sokka/OC because I love Sokka and while I do love him and all his ladies and think it would be nice to see him in a slow burn. I would also just like to note that Suki will not be as important for the sake of the fic. Don't get me wrong I fucking Stan her, but I can't have her be as major of a role.

enemies, to friends, to lovers. ______________ hi there. so, this is modern. they still have bending, ba sing se is a place etc. it's just like ATLA except with technology i guess? not sure how to explain it. but we've got zukka because im in love with it, kataang and then.. toph. but there is not firelord stuff or anything like that. i'm editing this 3 chapters in because it followed the plot line better LMAO suki died. i haven't put too much research into when she died, but i'm gonna say this is like a year or so after the last episode of atla. they need to be aged up LMAO sokka is 17, zuko 18. katara 16 and for the sake of the plot aang is also 16. toph is 15. mature content warning. minimal swearing if y'all care LMAO. its slow burn and a lot of beating around the bush. they don't wanna admit anything and sokkas just overall afraid to love again after every woman or girl he's loved has died in some form. minus katara and toph. zukos head over heels you could say, he's realizing what affection really feels like. so this leaves him questioningComplete
