Hela began to stare into space "Love requires a particular chemical process."

Elena turns to her in confusion as Hela continues "The act of falling in love is really just a release of oxytocin..And yet the stimulus needed to trigger that release becomes more and more demanding over time."

Hela looked at her, Elena could see the pain inside her beautiful eyes that she have been trying to hide by putting up walls "The older you get...the less you love, and I am quite old."

Elena shake her head "It's more than chemical, Hela. What about kindness and pleasure and connection...?"

"Yeah, Love also demands both hope and a letting go of the self. Neither of which I do much of anymore."

"But you definitely don't believe that it isn't possible." Elena whisper "You must want that in your life..."

"My life has been long and full." Hela took a deep breath before letting out "I know things you will never know, have seen things you will never see."
