The woman sits at the window, finishing the remains of a burnt out cigarette. Her sad, swelled up, blue eyes scanning the barren, ugly, broken city, she winces as a hair falls into the open gash on her face.

Behind her Romeo is passed out on the sofa, bruises on his face and scratch marks on his chest
"He deserved it" the voices in Juliet's head say, she cannot identify which one it is, but she knows its one of the evil ones.

In the historic city of Bologna, where ancient architecture whispered stories of the past and the air was thick with the scent of blooming jasmine, Maria immersed herself in the demanding world of medicine. Every late-night study session in the shadow of the university's grand buildings and every early morning lecture was a testament to her dedication, yet there was an undercurrent of mystery that tugged at her thoughts-a feeling that someone was watching her, even when she couldn't see him. It began subtly, with the gentle rustle of paper as she discovered notes tucked beneath her door, their words both unsettling and strangely thrilling. Each note was a puzzle piece, revealing fragments of a soul she both despised and yearned to understand. The gifts-delicate flowers, small trinkets-appeared as if by magic, leaving her torn between indignation and intrigue. How could she loathe the very essence of his actions while feeling drawn to the hidden depths of his affection? Every time she arrived home, her heart raced with anticipation, not knowing whether to feel safe or vulnerable. The tension was palpable, electric, weaving a complex tapestry of emotions that blurred the lines between fear and fascination. Maria felt a connection to this shadowy figure, a yearning for understanding amid her disdain. In the labyrinth of her thoughts, she wrestled with her feelings. The enigma of his presence ignited a fire within her-a dangerous curiosity that pulled her closer to the edge of the unknown. Would their paths inevitably collide, transforming animosity into an unexpected bond? As she delved deeper into her studies, she couldn't shake the feeling that this mysterious stranger was destined to play a significant role in her life, challenging her beliefs and igniting a passion she never saw coming. Little did she know, their story was just beginning, and the line between love and hate was thinner than she could ever imagine.

"What's your name?" I spat blood from my mouth and tilted my head up to look at him. "Pippa Cade." In response, the man simply laughed before informing the guy on the other line. He hung up and the man crouched in front of me brushing a short strand of hair behind my ear. "He said he wants to talk to her, he is on his way down now." The group laughed once more and waited for the backstage door to open. "For a girl, you fight well." "Easy for you to say, she didn't kick you in the balls." The third man spoke up and I could help the smile that graced my lips, however, it didn't go unnoticed. A kick that threw my head upwards, with a hard blow that made me think I had broken my jaw. "Still smiling?" "I would but there is blood in my mouth and I wouldn't look that hot." I dropped my head forward. Moments later the door hit the wall as a man walked out the club with his cigarette. "Pippa Cade, lovely surprise for you to be in my club." "Aww you're very welcome, if you're that grateful can I go?" I attempted to stand back up but he kicked me back down. I swear if one more person kicks me, I'm going to lose my shit. "I take it you don't know who I am?" "Should I? You only seem important to these idiots." I coughed out more blood and ignored the laughs that filled the alley. "I'm Jackson Storm." The name sent chills of fear and terror all around my body and I wanted to throw up. "Oh well, you guys seem great but I must get home. I'm out past my bedtime." This time I get to my feet and steady myself as I wipe away the blood that exploded on my face. The two twins block the exit through the gates and Hunter blocks me from re-entering the club. "Listen, we just wanted a drink, it's not our problem your gang has a rival with his brothers." I was suddenly silenced by Jackson throwing me against the wall and blocking me between the wall and his body. "Pippa Cade, right? Torturer of tortured souls, you might be you still have quite the reputation. I might keep you."
