"Skyler wake up! Wake up!" I hear a loud voice yelling to me. Shooting my eyes open I find a distraught Ryan shaking me awake. 

Suddenly feeling something wet on my cheeks I realize I've been crying. "Hey it's ok it was just a nightmare." He says rubbing my back. If only it was.

I find myself crying even more from the memory. He suddenly wraps his arms around me and I collapse crying into his chest. Shushing me and rubbing my back I slowly fall asleep in his arms.

It's been 3 years since the apocalypse. Since I lost the only family I had. Being kidnapped and  tortured I've somehow managed to survive alone without growing crazy. That is until I meet him.
