Maverick Sinclair was only seven-teen years old when the war began. Finishing up her senior year of high school in Arven Bay, Washington. Her best friend Novair Aveyard invited her for a weekend getaway on Novair's uncles boat when all hell breaks lose.
As the two girls prepare for what they thought, would be an epic weekend way form the stress of mid-terms. They are unknowingly headed to the next big chapter of their lives. Their boat bobs on the blueish green waters of the pacific ocean when they hear the call. That was the start. The start to the end of the world as they Knew it.
