Maverick Sinclair was only seven-teen years old when the war began. Finishing up her senior year of high school in Arven Bay, Washington. Her best friend Novair Aveyard  invited her for a  weekend getaway on Novair's uncles boat when all hell breaks lose. 

As the two girls prepare for what they thought, would be an epic weekend way form the stress of mid-terms. They are unknowingly headed to the next big chapter of their lives. Their boat bobs on the blueish green waters of the pacific ocean when they hear the call. That was the start. The start to the end of the world as they Knew it.

Before we know it, humans and mer will be at war. Again. What if it spreads to all mythical creatures? But how can Luke and Heidi stop this before it's to late? And the most important thing, who is the evil mastermind behind this epidemic that is plaguing all mers...and maybe all mythical creatures?

She was taught how to live and to believe that good will come to her. She never imagined at nine years old the whole world would be taken over by the darkness of the Apocalypse. Her mother and brother were taken but her father still lives, keeping her safe in a small house in the middle of the woods. All she wants is to live and to help the world become bright again. But one day, forces draw the two together and a new situation comes to rise. He helps her but he fears the action will make her want him to be with her. Their polar opposites and Harry doesn’t know how to act around her. She wants to learn about him but he won’t budge. She realizes how different they are. Louis' loud and carefree while Meg's been quiet and reserved. He's outgoing while Meg prefers to be alone.
