"Alright, it's 12 noon. Deal or not?" I couldn't look at him, so I stared at the beauty in front of me. Somehow I knew he was watching it too. I felt like we were characters of a famous story, standing side by side, gazing ahead. I hesitated, my heart was beating fast, I was almost afraid that he's going to hear it too. But for the first time in my life, I trusted my heart and told my brain to go to hell. The girl lead in this story was going to do what she wanted, and won't fear the consequences. "Let's do this." I said and turned towards him. We remained silent for a couple of moments, absorbing the meaning of the deal we just agreed to. And then I saw his lips turned upwards just enough for me to notice. He turned to me and held my hand. I felt several emotions just by touching him. Nervousness, excitement, fear, happiness all at once. I pushed them all aside, and smiled ear to ear. He held his hand up, counting down to three, my heart racing with every finger he raised. And just as he finished, we jumped off the cliff.

Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. It all started when a boy brought attention to her in biology class one day, laughing at her and calling her a "freak" while the rest of the class laughed along with him. He had stolen her heart and she now wanted nothing more than to be with him. Unfortunately, Liam seemed to want nothing to do with Emma. He seemed to be straight up avoiding her. They never interacted for 3 whole years. That is, until now in their senior year, when they get paired up for a school project. The two must put their differences aside and try to work as a team. But as they spend more time together, feelings grow deeper, and secrets start to rise to the surface. Neither of them knows how to navigate these feelings, but it's more than just surface-level attraction. It's emotional, it's layered with history, and they're both in denial about how deep those feelings actually go. If they just communicated better, they'd probably realize they really like each other (in more ways than one), but right now, it's like they're both stuck in their own heads, unable to take that leap. ⚠️ containing explicit language p/s this story was inspired by many songs , also this is my first long story so pardon me for any mistake 🙏🏻 . . .
