After the sudden death of her mother she just can't carry on like before. It's the last year of high school, but 9 months of smoking, taking drugs, getting drunk every night and self harming are leading down a dark, lonely and fatal pre-planned date, she wants to end her life on the same day her mother died, Or can a ten year old photo of the most decorated school football team captain Max McKay change everything when she starts a writting about him one drink and drug fuelled night. 

Is Max McKay anything like her imagination of him or anything like she has written about? She has the opportunity to find out when she is asked to contact the students from his year together for a 10 year school reunion album.
