All her life Althea just wanted to be normal. She wanted it so much that she always tried to act as normal as she could thus conveniently forgetting what and more importantly who she really was...

But strangely enough the more she tried the more she ended up back to square one. Well how normal can she get when she was in a supernatural academy even though she was merely a 'human'. Or was she really...

Somethings even if we try hard to change or leave it as it is, ends up falling in their places like puzzle pieces as there is only one solution to complete the bigger picture...

And that is what really happened... but she could still decide the order in which the puzzle pieces were placed and that made the whole difference...

And Althea was left with a question...How does one define being 'normal' .... Maybe normalcy was never determinate but just a series of anomalies...

Join Althea on her journey to find her real self and gather enough courage to be what she really is....

Yet again Darkness is hungry for a war to end it all, but Light will always have troops at the ready. One girl. One kingdom. Eleven friends. Four Elements. No biggie. * I'm Melody, hybrid freak, nice to meet you, strange muggle who I know nothing about. I used to be like you, cluelessly ignorant and uninvolved with the outside world. You know, they have a big, yellow ball of gas in the sky. Weird. Anyway my life became something out of a bad Si-Fi movie, and no, Nicolas Cage isn't in it (sadly). There are two forces in the world, Light and Darkness, and when you side with Light, Darkness gets a stick up its ass and wants you to suffer. My friends and I, we roll with Light, you must know where that leads.... I have a kingdom to learn, powers to master, loud friends to keep in line, a boy that I'm messed up over, and above it all, Darkness to show whose boss. Not as easy as you might think, but this is MY story, and I know how it ends. Being a loyal follower of Light shows me the beauty in life and the devastation it can cause. Don't get me wrong, I love Light, but Darkness makes it hard to stay and fight. * Melody is weird. She's childish. She's awkward. And she's got boy issues she needs to work out. Mel will face evil like no other, but can she do it? Will the scales of Light and Darkness finally be tipped? How can one girl make a difference? This is Melody, a corky teenager, and she wants you to read her story. Like now. Enjoy! Highest rank- #69 in Fantasy (Still cant believe it!!)

•••••••••••••••• He took a step closer to her, and she took one away from him. "When two people make love, it is sensual, two hearts bonding, and caring for one another. It's slow and gentle and undemanding. It's just you and the person you love, and nothing else in the world matters." She didn't know when he'd gotten so close to her, but her eyes burned as she read the slight expression that flashed across his own eyes... sorrow, as if perhaps remembering something, or someone from his past. She didn't know why it made her chest hurt, he was only a brute after all... •••••••••••••••• Set against the enchanting backdrop of mid-18th century England, "The Cadre of Embers" unfolds the extraordinary journey of Althea Lezant, a young and unmarried woman disillusioned by societal constraints on women. Althea's life takes an exhilarating turn when she discovers her unique ability to manipulate the fourth dimension. Upon first use of this newfound power, she is sought out by a hidden society of individuals with diverse abilities of their own. Driven by curiosity and a thirst for purpose, Althea delves into this enigmatic world, leaving behind the mundane pursuit of suitors. Within the society's embrace, she learns the intricacies of her magical abilities and the vastness of their universe. Yet, Althea senses that profound secrets still elude her, mysteries that might hold the key to her ultimate destiny. "The Cadre of Embers" is a spellbinding tale of love, empowerment, self-discovery, and the latent potential within us all. "Feeling better?" Dante asked gently but there was an undertone to it. "I was puking this morning but I'm all better. Probably just a stubborn stomach flu. Just makes me ache all over." Giving him a small smile to reassure him. He sadly didn't look so convinced. Did I miss a spot with my makeup? The only thing my uncle gets me that's semi nice, but it is to hide his abuse. "Bullshit! Stop lying." Dante said sternly. My heartbeat was in my ears as he spoke those words, and my anxiety made my palms sweaty. His eyes held concern and suspicion which only made me want to cower away. "I'm n-n-not-" His hazel eyes were shifting darker which made my heart fearful. His eyes were like uncles but without the hatred. "He's right Caelia. Tell us the truth." Ivena said from behind me. My anxiety peaked and my chest went tight; tears pricked my eyes. Why can't they leave it alone? Did they see one of my bruises? Maybe my uncle is right, maybe I am stupid. They are going to think so poorly of me, but I don't know if I can hide it from them much longer. Their eyes went over me as if analyzing me and I hated it. "No no its just from being sick I swear I-" Their eyes cut through me and into my soul. Tears blurred my vision as I realized they wouldn't accept it. "He's just drunk and angry. He doesn't know what he's doing." Tears threaten to fall at my words, and it felt so hard to breathe to even speak the hidden truth. "Who?" Dante asked with a softer tone. His hands reached out to touch me, but I jerked away only making it worse on me. ===================================== Caelia Addison and her Uncle moved to a new place in order to start over to escape his every growing debt. While searching for a job, she ends up meeting three people that end up not only saving her from her abuse, but can they save her from their world or will simply get Caught in the Feud...

The rewrite is being uploaded! Check out The Grave Keeper on my page! A strange boy who's adopted family happens to be...well dead. A strange town that's only getting stranger as packs of werewolves arrive. they are only a precursor to what is coming. Mages, and more will soon be arriving in silver-spruce, any of them a potentially life threatening danger to him. But...if the boy keeps his head down and tries to avoid attention, than maybe just maybe, he can survive. Sadly for him, one of those wolves is claiming the part of town he happens to live in as her territory. And the boy has never been particularly good at keeping his head down in the first place. (This is a completed first draft of this story, I will eventually be uploading the second draft which is wildly different, less using the same bones as this first draft, more just a few of its organs. Ie. characters, location, and themes, But only bits and pieces of this drafts plot.) Also, if you want more of my writing check out "TWO AND A HALF DEADMEN" a book set in the same world fallowing Alder a few years before the events of this story.
