{THIS IS WIP.}
One man loses his child in the war, and he feels it the end of the world.
Ten years later a man named Seth is to be crowned king. Seth looks nothing like his family. They're blonde with blue eyes and he's brown-haired with brown eyes. His father is a discriminator against everyone who doesn't have a high rank. As he lives in his kingdom peacefully something keeps coming back to him and he can't seem to shake it off.

He doesn't belong.

Soon enough Seth, or if that's his real name, finds himself on a journey to find his original self along with his brother and best friend. His father obviously doesn't like the idea of this and sends hunters, knights, and even rogues out to find and kill him, for he can't know who he really is.

It could put the fate of the world in danger.

"You said your name was Seth, right?" Brynner asked. "Tell me Seth- what happened between you and this girl?" Seth had begun to step forward. He froze. "What do you want to know?" Brynner adjusted his weight on the sand. "She said one thing when I pulled her out of the sea--" His voice dropped. "Your name." The ship had become Seth's prison. As Captain's heir, he finds himself crushed under the weight of his father's expectations. He isn't the son his father wanted, and his betrothal to Tamar, the girl he knew since childhood, doesn't feel right. Their union only proves to Seth their stark difference. She was unflinching beneath her steel blade; He was detached, too caught up in pondering the creatures lurking in the depths to become the heir the Temptation's Wake needs. Seth longs for a breath of fresh air. A chance encounter with a Nepti--one of the humanoid scaled beings beneath--gives him exactly that. Only now he's thrown into a war between conflicting ideals and cutthroat organizations. As Seth becomes tangled in this net of conspiracy, he finds his fate interwoven with those of spies, royalty, and murderers. No one is how they seem, and Tamar only reaches after her own ambition. Isaac holds her chin, preventing her from looking down, "You know that, right?" "Yes, I do." "I would do anything you ask of me, even if it is to hang the stars." She chuckles, shaking her head, "How could you possibly catch a star, or even hang one?" "I am so in love with you that I would die trying if I knew that it would bring a smile to your face." I flinched as his hand reached to my face, and aggressively pulled down the cloak from my head. His eyes scanned me, taking in my tear-stained face, my jewelry, the hem of my dress. Then he spoke, voice cold and measured. "What is your name?" I opened my mouth, but no words came. Fear tightened its grip. "I believe I asked you a question," he said, eyes darkening further. "Alice," I choked out between tears and ragged breaths of panic. His cold eyes stayed on my face a moment longer before he finally released my cloak from his grip. His gaze drifted to the window. "You will address me as Your Highness. I do not tolerate mistakes. I will not shy away from punishment, and if I have too, I will make sure you learn to never defy my order again. Do I make myself clear?" -------------------- In this world, everybody has a soulmate-two people destined to be together for the rest of their lives. Finding them isn't as hard as you might think, since every pair who belong together share the same symbol somewhere on their body. It is something you're born with, something unshakable, something meant to be. No matter the status or wealth, there is no doubt: soulmates belong together. Some grow up knowing their future soulmate, others find them later in life-but in the end, they always find each other. In my family's kingdom of Lyria, marrying someone who isn't your soulmate is a punishable crime. My father always believed in the bond. But what if the bond isn't meant to be after all... Or could it be that my soulmate is none other than Darkness himself-the heartless king our country is currently at war with, the one who leaves neither women nor children alive... ----- Rewritten version 2025 CAUTION This book contains violence and gore along with cursing. Also if you're triggered by domestic violence DONT READ THIS BOOK. Take care.
