A philosophical story which was written to be questioned, posing an alternative view of existence, one which differs from that of most scientific and theological ideologies, you've just got to have a point of view.
It's not rocket science, it's the output of an overactive ageing mind and is not intended as a legitimate challenge to any existing doctrine, but as a means of freeing us, from the concepts of retribution and redemption and heaven or hell.
It does this by creating an argument that it is the residence of the soul, the biological organism (a biological machine) which is flawed.
This, in turn, suggests that the survival instinct is such a flaw and that it is principally responsible for the actions of the organism, not the soul.
This hypothesis then leads to the question, why should the soul be subject to retribution and redemption?

Book Two in the Grace Series. This can most certainly be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading Grace first (and Something New before or after). Either way, enjoy: I spent my entire life trying to earn my parents' love and it just never worked. I wanted that same love Aunty gives me, from my mother. The same discipline Pops instills into me, I wanted from my father. I wanted comfort and care, and at the very least, their attention. It's all I wanted. But I never got it. Something within me still had some sort of hope that things could possibly change. I thought things could be salvaged at some point. I never voiced this to anyone else, but a part of me held onto that. That was shattered with the news they delivered to me. It shook me that they've been divorced, but what did the most damage was that they never even bothered to tell me. It's like they forgot they even have a child together. The people I lived and breathed for...didn't even seem to recall that I existed. That broke me. "I can't do this anymore," I repeat. Pops stares at me in silence before standing and disappearing. My mouth turns down in a frown, not expecting that, but then he comes back. I grit my teeth as he holds an item in his hand. I saw this very same item five years ago as well. The Bible. "Just like then, I won't force you into anything, Austin. You've got a choice-you always have. I don't know what made you try to walk away from the faith, but I'm still going to extend it to you." ~ Redemption: the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.

Highest Rank: #1 Alien 6-21-21 WARNING: This contains Xenophile (Alien / Human smut) If you don't find interest then that, this is not the place to be. Thanks! Or Skip the chapter. 18+ ______________________ The year is 3999. Nearly a thousand years after a alien infection was set loose by the intelligent lifeforms know as Irinaut. No one knows exactly how they were able to make such a infection, but it was capable of destroying nearly all life on Earth. Those who couldn't hide or make it to the ships to escape their home planet, were left for the Irinauts. These alien lifeforms were capable of controlling human bodies, infecting them with their black dust, impregnating fertile human female's, and growing the Irinaut's massive companions, the Yeti's, a less evolved version of the Irinaut. Earth is gone. Nothing more then a ball of dust. After the people fled on ships, they traveled to their new hope. It was a place of solitude. The human race was able to flee from the foreign infection, but for how long? Luna was frozen on the ship. For nearly a 200 years, their ship had traveled. Many people had been placed in a cryogenic state. That of which kept them from aging as they made their way out of the infection. For them, a place of safety, The Solar Sun. The Solar Sun space ship was the closest landing unit in the solar system. Many others would have to be traveled to after refueling and preparing for another two or three centuries of being in a cryogenic state. For Luna, the girl hopes that space would be her escape from the aliens that destroyed their Earth, but that was only the beginning. Upon arrival, the ship is found infested. Luna and a small team of scientists had come in hopes for finding a cure for the strange virus, only to find the virus had taken over most of The Solar Sun, following a few escaped Irinauts. The Solar Sun is their last hope, and their last escape from these beings, but what's to be found there will change everything.

guys please don't read this anymore lmao i write totally differently now💋 _________________ In a future where humans are genetically modified -- 'altered' -- at the age of sixteen, the world has been, until now, a safe place. Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. Set on a pristine, futuristic Earth, this is the apocalypse like you've never seen it before. (Rated mature for graphic depictions of violence and mild language.) The Mechanics of Us by ashes_of_tributes
40 parts Complete Mature
Human DNA is composed of stars. Stars that have been broken down into nanoparticles that have dispersed themselves throughout the universe; they harness the energy of the cosmos and transitively embedded their limitless potentials in every fiber of conscious existence. Logically, there has to be a reason then as to why life was given to those on Earth. Why humans were given such divinities from the universe. After all, the saying goes, "everyone was born for a reason," meaning those born with unworldly energies must have been given life to fulfill an unknown purpose that is greater than themselves. We are only given a certain amount of time in this world to live up to our given potential because, just like the stars, humans also fade away. A star's glow is a result of a series of chemical reactions that are housed at its core. Similarly, our lives are like a series of chemical reactions, vibrant, unpredictable, chaotic. They only last for a certain amount of time before the limiting reagent is used up in its entirety, ceasing the continuation of spontaneity. All of us have a limiting reagent, a chemical that is used up first, which then halts the chemical reaction and stops its continuity. And unfortunately, some of us possess a more powerful limiting reagent than others, making their chemical reaction burn out quicker than others. In this society, when your time is up, it is up, there is nothing else to be done. Any form of medication or medical intervention that was not created naturally by the Earth is frowned upon. That form dilutes the existing energies and manifestations of limitless potential. It makes those who use it less than and, in a way, tainted by the inconveniences of man-made alterations. However, grief can push some to go extra lengths to make their chaos continue even if it is just for a little bit longer.
