Sparrow.

It somewhat means traveller.

My ancestor, he was a Sparrow. Not literally, I'm not a bird. But he liked to travel. He made friends, lots of them. He was apparently good at that. He became known as the 'Friendly Traveller', bringing hope and guidance to those who were lost and really needed it. At one point, there was barely a soul who didn't know Sparrow. He built communities, and a bridge.

A bridge between humans and... others.

A bridge that my ancestors after him maintained with the Nobles, and the Nobles continued to maintain even after my ancestor was murdered.

If I could go back to my 16 year old self and tell her that one day she'd be vampire fending the safety of peace and tranquil among species, she'd probably fan girl a little bit. For hundreds of years the Nobles had protected what my ancestors had built and now some stupid, arrogant vampire with middle-child syndrome was threatening the stability.

And, apparently, it was my job to stop it. Great.
