You accidentally fall down after following a classmate, Frisk, whom is constantly being bullied and attacked in an attempt to cheer them up.
Your soul is different to other kids, like Frisk's, hence why you felt bad for them. Your soul is unusually bright for (S/T), and grants you a special ability, which you are yet to learn...
