Book 3 of The Herald of Death Trilogy

My name is Morrigan I am the Reaper of War and Fate. In case you don't already know, the Reapers, are beings in charge of the process of death.

Whether it is finding ways of preventing someone's death from occurring before its destined time to honoring those that have passed on is what each Reaper strives to uphold.

As the Reaper of War and Fate, it is my sworn duty to guide, protect, and honor those fighting in battle. I often do this through the Omen of War that is the very essence of one-half of my subconscious mind. The counterpart to War's battle crazy ego is the calm and ever-emotionless Omen of Fate. War and Fate are both responsible for helping me whenever I'm guiding the souls of the living throughout the course of their lives.

The past, present, and future are all woven together like a Celtic infinity knot and one story from the past can lead into many others in the future. For most people, the thought of telling their stories from the past can be a happy reminder of better days. Yet for some souls, the mere topic of regaling their loved ones with their past can be a grieving ordeal to overcome, and a constant reminder of the pain and sorrow they have endured.

This is a story surrounding my dearest friend, a Japanese Dragon-man by the name Shen Lee Yang. This story tells the tragic tale surrounding his past life in Japan. It is a past filled with love, loss, and grief.

It is a story that likely would not have taken place if it weren't for the desperate plea written down on a parchment scroll, that would reveal the secret behind Shen's origins in Japan.

Many secrets will be revealed throughout the course of this tale, but I must warn you, to pay careful attention to all that I'm about to tell you. For this is a story you don't want to ignore. So without further ado allow me to regale you all with this legendary tale, of the honorable Samurai warrior known as Shen Lee Yang!
