What if Eddard "Ned" Stark found Daenerys after she was born and took her in at her mother's, Rhaella Targaryen, request?
The characters may be out of character, and I have a reason for that. I have never watched Game of Thrones and I have never read the books (though I am trying to do both). All I know is from the fanfics I've read, from what my parents told me, and from clips on YouTube. I apologize if I ruin the characters.
On the note of characters, I don't own them. All characters (unless I made them up) are George R. R. Martin's.

It had been years and she had almost forgotten what life was like before IT happened. The trespassing. It had been an accident. A stupid accident happening to a very troubled 21 year old with nothing better to do than try out witchy spells using her books. Then the portal had devoured her and she was stuck there. In Westeros. In a universe that shouldn't even be real yet it was. Too real from time to time in her own humble opinion. She had built up a complex network of lies that allowed her to adapt to the new environment. Sort of at least. Her overwhelming intelligence that had the people of Winterfell curious had earned her a place amongst the staff of the lords house where she was to teach the children to read and write while her afternoon activities were singularity focussed on finding a way back home and avoiding the noble families as best as she could. But peace never seemed to last too long in this world. And Winter was coming. The other, with hair like moonlight, eyes like an indigo pool, and every delicate feature that the Targaryens held above all else. Aegon and Visenya. The prince(ss) that was promised. -- Rhaella made a choice that day Rhaegar's heir arrived on Dragonstone; to forever hide the parentage of Visenya Targaryen and to cut her completely from the prophecy her son was so dedicated to. Visenya Targaryen, Daughter of Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen was no more; in her place grew Rhaenar Waters, bastard daughter of The Mad King and soon to be heir apparent. -- Incest warning, major character deaths, gore, smutty scenes... typical Game of Thrones warnings Runs on a similar line to Daenerys but with changes and different pairings and decisions. I won't lie, there is a whole host of relationships and funny business going on with this book; so expect Jon, Mero, Oberyn, and Drogo at the very least. AN: I'm going to be honest with you, this is a long and wild ride that you may or may not read. It goes through each season episode by episode and takes Daenerys place with different outcomes. There are multiple endings for those who either don't mind Incest, or would prefer to completely steer clear. It's completely up to you.
