In Reno, Nevada, USA, a new disease called "Melnora" was discovered, first starting off as small and of no one's concern, but then it turned deadly and must be eradicated. The other countries closed off their borders to the US to prevent the disease from spreading to the other countries. Fortunately, they do send their best scientists to find the cure, however, they can not return home until then. The story is told through journal entries written by Dr. Emily Rosonburg, similar to chapters in a novel.
