"Aren't you afraid?" His tone chilled me to the core. It sent shivers down my spine, causing an icy grip to encase my entire body. I felt like an item; a piece of property for him to do with as he pleased. I stood taller, meeting his gaze with equal determination. Luckily, my poker face was one to boast about. "Not at all," I stated coolly. ༻༺ Maya McMillan had just graduated from high school when she was kicked out of her home, expected to instantly return to her feet in such a short notice. As the young woman struggles with finding a place to live and a job that will pay her enough, she stays with her best friend, Anais Wallace, who she had been friends with for as long as she could remember. Anais and Maya become even closer after Anais breaks up with her abnormally controlling boyfriend, Braxton Pennington. Maya notices strange activity from the now ex-boyfriend, often spotting him outside of their house and spying on Anais. After Anais goes missing, it doesn't take long for Maya to figure out who took her. However, Braxton is smarter than initially thought, kidnapping Maya as well. Maya now must survive in this strange, twisted man's home, fighting to keep her friend safe like she had done for Maya when she needed her most. ༻༺ Started: December 21st, 2018 Finished: N/A

"I loved her!" Tears sting my eyes while I spit the words. Scarlet's lips curl into an amused grin. "You've never known a single bit about her." Owen Collins. A teenage boy. He's smart, creative and caring. Unfortunately his girlfriend passed away, recently. It seems like he can't move on without her. And when the summer break begins he's stuck at home with nothing but her memory. The odd part about it, is that he's the only one who remembers her. Step by step people seem to forget her. Her life slowly fades away. Owen is determined to find out what happened to her. Or is he just going crazy? He needs to be fast before he, too, forgets. Scarlet Wright. A teenage girl. She's rude, sarcastic, and rebellious. She has always been the center of attention. She knows what she wants and gets it, no matter what. Though during summer she gets awfully interested about this boy named Owen. He's the only one in town with his head high in the clouds. The only one who doesn't admire Scarlet's beauty. And she can't stand it. She gets caught up in this story as well. They agree to see passed each others differences and unravel the mystery about the girl, named Dawn. Of course that doesn't go as smooth as they had wished. But what's the real reality? And whose story are we even telling? Elusive: difficult to remember or understand. © Copyright 2014
