After nine months of coma, Alana finally wakes up and is back into the real world. She wakes up remembering only up to fifth grade, everything after that is a blur. She doesn't remember her father's death, her little sister, or any bits of her middle school or high school life. Going back to school as 'the girl who was shot' in her senior year, takes a toll on her. She is forced with old demons she can't even remember and opens her hearts to friends. But what if those friends are the ones who hurt her in the past? Or even worse, her shooter? As if the anxiety that comes along with that isn't enough she has to try and cope with the death of her dad that occurred four years ago and she has no memory of it AND she has to work for a new relationship with her little sister she has no recollection of. To help her through this, she has her mother and siblings, her friends and bubbling love. But in the back of her mind is always the reminder that the person who tried to kill her is still walking this earth, what if he is closer then she thought?

The fall had been a big mood ring for Oskar. Breaking the school rules he gets almost expelled from school, but it brings him and Aaron together for the first time in 2 years. Oskar kisses 2 times Aaron, but he doesn't seem to reciprocate his feelings, especially that he's hetero and has a girlfriend. Oskar finds new friends and gets popular for the first time, and everybody starts noticing him, which was one of the biggest dreams for Oskar. However, his new friends turned to be fake, allowing Oskar to get beaten to death. Even though Aaron previously seemed to not care for Oskar, he was the only one who visited Oskar in the hospital every day. After spending the whole winter in hospital, Aaron finally comes out of the hospital and rejoins his friends in school. All eyes in school will be once again turned on a 15-years old boy. Is he ready to confront his fake friends who let him be beaten in a conspiracy. Will he graduate the junior high school having so many setbacks on his head? Will he forgive Aaron eventually? Is Aaron going to reciprocate Oskar's feelings? It's all written in the stars...The last part of my trilogy "Something Like Summer"
