It's been months ever since the apocalypse had started. Possibly a year. Nobody saw this infection coming. It started off as cancer; the sickness becoming more common. But this was a different type of cancer. People with this sickness had their skin become weak and almost rotting. Their skin would peel off more easier. This was just the first stage. The second stage would be high fever. It was strange that this wasn't the first stage, since this wasn't exactly a "Zombie" infection. Next, the victims eyes would blurr out. The color would turn grey, then start too fade out as if blind. Rather than white, it would become a light red color. Their teeth seemed to sharpen. Then the mutation would happen. As mentioned before: This wasn't a zombie infection. They would turn into horrible and disgusting creatures.
There are different types of these creatures, each one of them having different capabilities.
As for now, many are trying to survive. It's hard to say how many are alive, but it's for sure that these creatures are over populating the human race. Jessi and her German Shepherd: Loki, have been on the run for a while ever since her family had died. They've traveled for months before running into trouble. Jessi loses consciousness, a group of Stalkers ganging up on her. That is, until four men decide to save her.

Should she call out or remain silent? The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings. That is all I can tell you for the moment Lexi, but know their are people waiting for your arrival, and we are waiting for you to end this suffering race." Zombie Rot
Idk if anyone's ever written something like this, but it sounds pretty cool in my head. Sterek and zombies. Zombie apocalypse. And yes there are still werewolves/Coyotes/ect., but that's it, no other supernatural's. The werewolves healing abilities pretty much stop them from becoming a zombie. Instead becoming more feral like, as if a lighter version of rabies- rouge wolves- like crazy Peter. ------------------------ It all starts with a bad idea, stiles and his group of survivors trying to find somewhere safe to hide. How bad can taking refuge in an old town, and old burnt up house be when you've got zombies literally searching for living flesh to chew on. Stiles kicks aside his four barrel shot gun as Scott watches him angrily beat at what must've been an old table, or door side table of sorts, after losing a member of their group. She was strong, and close to stiles as they bonded over their versions of how the whole world wreck started. Of course that's besides the point when a hunky man, or correction, werewolf man drops down the steps of the broken home. Then again, that certain werewolf seems to have Both caught and given his attention to stiles. The human finding the large muscled, broad, stone faced, blunt man just as interesting as the wolf found the rambling, loud, leading, beautiful Human, interesting. 100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. It wasn't bad enough that Ben was homeless. Having a dead family nearly killed him before.
