The classic AU of "demon" Shane Madej. Shane is not a demon himself, but he is rather a medium that can see spirits, ghosts and supernatural entities that others cannot. He can feel the aura's of other's emotions and the slightest changes in the environment. He can communicate with spirits and scare them away. Demons, however are not so easily fooled. He can feel the chance of human emotion in the atmosphere and has physical reactions to it, such as pain or simple feelings throughout his body. He spends his ghost hunting days trying to protect his human co-worker and friend, Ryan Bergara, from the real spirits around him by trying to hide it from him. However, when Ryan goes missing, it's up to Shane to find him.

Shane is 16 years old and moving to a new town with his mom after she escaped a bad marriage. Moving was hard enough in and of itself but once Shane learns about the grisly murder that happened in his new house years ago, he begins to doubt everything he previously thought he knew about ghosts.

'So....' Shane thinks to himself, 'is there something one could want so badly they would be willing to give up everything for it?' The answer is simple: Yes. You could say that he was only a few deja-vu's from reliving his whole life over again. Living between moments; Watching... Waiting... Wishing. But that was the kicker in all of this. Shane knew that if he had to relive the same six months over and over, he would do it all again without a second thought if it meant he got to see Ryan smile once more. Seriously though, why did demon hunting have to be this complicated? Fuck you bunny cat. Fuck you. ---- or, Shane and Ryan both believe in ghosts and demons. Due to their job description, it was only a matter of time before they actually stumbled across one. When Ryan ends up giving his life for his friend, it's up to Shane to try and fix things. Except, it turns out things aren't that simple to fix.

What happens when two rivals are hired on the same case? Follow the journey of Detective Shane Madej and Detective Ryan Bergara to see just how life will play out. Will they solve the case?
