Set in a distant future, the skeleton crew of the Gallant has found the dead body of the massive spaceship's guest, a renowned researcher in archaeotechnology, at the bottom of the ship.
Moving in FTL speed, in deep space and away of any civilization, Captain Liam Levesque must find out what's going on on his ship and he and his small crew realizes that they aren't alone on the spaceship and they must deal with the consequences.

The eighth novel in The Shadow Wars. After the events of Ceaseless and Snowblind, Allan Gray, formerly a member of Security-Investigations, now a Specialist in Special Operations, is having some trouble keeping sane.
