This is the story of a man; killed by crazy, only to wait for bureaucracy while he goes crazy, only to be told that due to circumstances he will be reborn.
So he chooses a world, race, stats, etc; and begins to enjoy life at his own pace while not having a destiny. Wonder if he can get some sleep while he's at it.

After a decade of investment in a certain project of his and nothing to show for it, the man had began to give up hope. Immortality was still as far away as ever, and his ill-gotten gains had served no purpose as of yet. One day however, while he was going over his researcher's records in the lab, a tiny little wormhole appeared in front of him, rapidly shrinking from 3 meters in size down to nothingness. With little time to think about how this was even possible, and having nearly lost all hope on his current project on Earth, the man made the unthinkable decision. Leaving everything he had worked so hard for behind, and possibly even throwing away his life, he decisively stepped into the wormhole before it could disappear. Once he opened his eyes, the man found that he had aged by 30 years, but with no memories to show for it. It wouldn't stay this way for long however, as his missing memories started to return to him in a rapid fashion. Thrust into a magical world of cultivation, the opportunity to fulfil his dream had appeared in front of him.
