The possibility of this even remotely happening was far from her mind. She had been rotating her pom-poms in sequence while the national anthem played in the background. She smiled wide while on the big screen like she was supposed to do, but she wasn't thinking about the United States, instead she was thinking about science, and how she was going to prove her two new physics formulas by next Tuesday. Then it happened. The arena went black, the mic of the singer cut out, and all she heard we're the screams of the thousands of fans from pure terror. ............ I have no part or interest in the Washington Capitals, USA Hockey, NHL or Red Rockers Associations. Anything that is known that is in my story does not belong to me. I own my characters, and the story line, not individuals business or places in it.
