The person behind it is none other than the Doctor's old enemy, the Master! Join the Doctors, his most popular companions, and two surprise guests as they unravel the mystery of the Menagerie! This was fun to write, as I have been a fan of Doctor Who since I was nine years old during the Tom Baker era. I studied hard to try to capture each Doctor's personality as they speak and interact, although I do admit that having a cast of 28 causes several characters to get lost within the dialogue. I made this as canonically correct as possible, pulling each Doctor and his corresponding companion from episodes to make this possible, but if you catch me in an error... I claim AU! Ha ha. It is for all intents and purposes a Capaldi episode, within his first season, long before Face the Raven. This is a Doctor Who fanfic for superfans only, as the entire first section only describes each Doctor by his attire, so you have to guess which is which by their apparel and companions. If you aren't familiar with each and every Doctor, this story will get very confusing. That being said, I hope you enjoy!

As men quickly are mutated into nightmarish creatures, and others reduced to silicon based remains, the odds are against the Doctor and Clara to finish the experiment for good and prevent the damaging to the rest of mankind from the unnatural forces unleashed. The sands of darkness are awoken. With the knowledge the scientists have gained, the world is at their mercy. The Doctor gave her hands a light squeeze, promising, "I will come back for you." He grinned encouragingly, dropping her hands and tapping her nose. Racing back to his blue box and jumping up to sit on the ledge, he gave the girls one last wide smile and dropped down into the Tardis. "Geronimo!" •|• Work of fiction, blah blah blah.
