In the heat of the Salem Witch Trials, the small town of Candle Cove is disturbed when a new girl arrives, having fits of pure hysteria and vomiting blood. The town blames witches, but could it be that the witches are protecting the town from the real evil?

Everyone believes that Jasmines scars are from a fire that killed her whole family. No one can know that truth. That came from evil witches who burnt her almost to the point of death and the real reason Jasmines is family truly gone. What really happened 3 years ago? And Why did the witches kill her family leaving her alive? She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.

In every culture, in our world, there are tales, rumours, historical references and legends that hint at the use of magic. Throughout history there are many legends of those that have the power to perform feats that no one else can. Folklore tells us of those few special souls that perform feats that can only be explained as magical. In most of these fables there are tales of young men and/or women who find out that they have powers that they have little control or use of. Folktales tell us how they learn to control their powers. Legends also tell us of those few souls that have become teachers of magic. These dedicated individuals take our young people and train them in how to use these powers. Then there are those that have great powers that they use to dominate others. These are the villains of Legends. Monsters that want to inflect their will on all those weaker souls around them. This is such a story. Adica is a young girl that finds she has powers that she can not control. As she learns about her heritage, she finds that she is part of a family that has great powers that they wheel to their own benefit. The same family that just may have murdered her brother, sister, and mother. Read on and follow her travels as she grows into a magical user like no other.

For Hundreds of Years, Witches have been feared by all of Salem. Witches and Warlocks have been called dangerous for many years throughout the many years they've existed. Many more dangerous than others. most witches are burned at the stake to prevent their evilness from spreading, whilst many others are forced to stay away from the people of the town. Many witches have existed for hundreds of years, their existence having been told in terrifying stories for thousands of decades. There are different rankings for each subsection of the witches, with Dark witches and light witches being the most popular and being the most rewarded. but there is another subsection of witches that aren't even talked about in the community, nobody's ever even heard of them. Ice Witches. they're mainly hated in the community for several reasons and aren't as talked about as the more popular witches in the community. They're mainly disliked by most people and discriminated against a ton, even the king dislikes them and considers them low on the list.
