It's odd. When you experience something terrible, usually it's all you can think about, right? Its constantly on your mind and you can remember every single detail vividly? That's what would make sense at least.
But for him, when something terrible happens... he forgets. His mind creates an error, it doesnt process the event, it doesnt store the data. It's like his mind is a computer.
It restores an old 'save' where this event had yet to happen. To where everything was 'okay'. And it makes him 'forget'.
But it always comes crashing back.
And it always hurts the most.
Maybe this is the worlds way of saying that it doesn't care.
Because he always wanted a quirk.
But why did it have to be one that makes him forget? That makes the memory come back with so, so, so much pain. With so much more clarity than when it first happened.
Why is the quirk he wanted for so long, so useless? How is this quirk supposed to help others? How is he supposed to become a hero?

After failing to develop a quirk and missing the mark to get OFA from All Might, Izuku became a vigilante to save the people ignored by heroes and in danger during the night, all under the guise of being a normal highschool student and son during the day. One late night, after working himself to exhaustion, Izuku is found at his breaking point, feverish and alone, by pro-hero, UA teacher, and future father-figure Eraserhead. Will the world be able to look beyond the lack of a quirk and see this boy as a hero? With the help of his new friends in Class-1A and All for One at large, Izuku's quirklessness might be exactly what they need to fix everything. . . . . TW: vomiting/illness (repeatedly), bullying (physical, verbal, mental abuse), self harm, purging behavior, fighting/rebellious behavior, suicidal ideation & discussion.
Blissful Ignorance
This will likely a short story but I think I will aim to get more detailed in descriptions of things. They say Ignorance is blissful but that isn't always true for those that have to deal with the issues that others are ignorant of. The others are ignorant of how impactful their words can be, that doesn't mean the other side of the story isn't unaffected though. UA was meant to be better. They were meant to be less ignorant of the world's problems since they are aiming to be heroes! So why does it hurt so much? The past always catches up to you even when you don't want it to. Run Away
Izuku Midoriya's life got wrecked after his quirk diagnosis. Quirkless. Nothing more then that. Maybe worthless or something close. Bullied by not just his "friends", but also his own father. After losing so much he runs away from everything. He's left wandering around the streets of musutafu at night. And then he meets eraserhead. Will he be able to prove the world that quirks aren't the only things that matter? 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 ~ MHA/Dadzawa ONESHOT
Basically, It's another story about Aizawa finding out about the bullying problems Midoriya has had/ is having. Also includes Present Mic and All Might being worried dads. _ When Midoriya finally made it into UA, He knew it would be different. He wasn't sure how much, but it had to be different! Of course, the work and how the school works would be different, but he hoped the people there would be different, too. Mostly because he had a quirk now. He wasn't useless anymore and he was definitely not quirkless anymore. In all honesty, Midoriya didn't expect all the kindness he was receiving from his peers and teachers. Surely, the teachers knew he was quirkless beforehand, right? If they knew.. then why didn't they hate him? Besides All Might, he expected them to dislike him. (Midoriya only thought All Might cared because he used to be quirkless too.. but it was better than nothing.) However, with his friends, he was happier. He didn't even know how to act around friends, but he tried.. Even if deep down Midoriya knew he couldn't trust anybody-- And he didnt trust anybody-- he still tried. Oh well, why didn't he trust them? Simple. He had the mindset that, 'If they knew he was quirkless, it would be middle school all over again.' He was protecting himself, just in case they found out. If they found out and stopped being friends with him, well it would be okay. He was prepared. He had to be. So, in the end, he didn't tell anybody about his old quirkless ways. Not that he had to tell anybody, right? He had a quirk, so it shouldn't matter anymore, right? Wrong. Who says the bullying and its effects ever go away? How would he ever be able to explain the messages he gets during the day from old classmates? Bakugou woke up, a groan falling out of his throat as a spike of pain zapped up his spine. He cursed, and then almost screamed as he saw the three naked bodies on his bed. Wait a minute.... This wasn't his bed. His eyes darted around as he winced, the headache making him even more irritable. What had happened? •~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~• Bakugou had been hit with three quirks in a row, creating a devastating side effect: an animal Heat quirk, a Combination quirk and an Impregnation quirk. The result, well, you know what'll happen. Except Bakugou has no idea how to inform the fathers (yes, fathers, ohmygosh thiscan'tberealsomeonehelphim) and decides to run away. Seven years later.... He reunites with them. And shit hits the fan. I do not own BNHA, Horikoshi does nor do I own any pictures, unless I say so. The car ride was silent, no noise was made from either of his parents. Izuku fumbled with his seatbelt, tear drops still falling from his eyes. He was told he would never develop a quirk, how could he become a hero now? --------------------------- Bakugo begins noticing Izuku's change in performance during school after Deku went home for the weekend. During, his investigations, he faces something he dreads, liking his enemy. However, Izuku longed for love, or any emotion. Falling into a deep pit of his own pity, he wants to escape and feel anything, he hates being numb. He refuses to comply to Bakugo asking questions, he knows if he tells anyone it'll be just like what his father had said.. Can Bakugo save his childhood friend before its too late? Can their relationship form into something other than friendship? Will Izuku be able to heal?
