The Voyager Golden Records were two phonograph records that were included aboard both Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977, both an attempt to answer humanity's existential question, "Are we alone?"
Finding the Voyager Records long after dead-Earth, a team of alienologists must instead answer the question of why they are alone, and if their race's fate is ultimately tied with humankind.

The Way It Is
I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it! Oh, did I forget to mention the Universe decided I was the lucky girl to help find the one person who could save us all from self-destruction? With the discovery of a new power generation, technology comes to a new Faster-Than-Light traveling method, and the WarpStar is the first ship equipped with the new star drive. No longer bound by the limitations of the Hyperdrive, the WarpStar embarks on a journey of exploration and discovery. U.S.S.A. Alice
In the distant future of the 28th century, mankind had survived near extinction then made it into the wider galaxy. With almost no other sapient life in the Milky Way to stop humanity's expansion. Space was ripe for the picking. Now mankind and the enigmatic Voidrians formed the U.S.S.A. The (United Solar Systems Alliance). Before Mankind became the dominant force in the Milky Way, Earth was in shambles. Natural resources were nearly depleted, diseases were rampant and most of Earth's population was in poverty. Then by some miracle of discovery or a cruel cosmic joke, in the mid-23rd century when all humanity could do was go out into space to search for a new home, a small planet that was black as the void around it was discovered. The humans who landed on the little planet had nearly lost all hope until they stumbled upon unknown ancient ruins beneath the planet's surface where they discovered untold amounts of bizarre advanced technology. Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. "Are we alone?" That question has finally been answered, but the answer was much more than they expected. Testing a new form of interstellar travel called a Stardrive, the NSA Impala was sent to explore Pre-alpha, a new solar system discovered along the sight line of Alpha Centauri. A slight malfunction sent them just outside the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy into dead space. Returning home, they ran into an alien race known as the Velcronians. What started off as a comical first contact, ended up with the Impala being snatched into the Farside Galaxy. Now stuck in the middle of a galactic war on the verge of spilling into the entire universe, the Impala must find a way to stop it and make it back home....before they no longer have a home to go back to.
