She woke up and everything was upside down. To her, at least. She heard room shaking, classical music. "Ah, now you're awake. I've been waiting forever." A man said. A voice she had grown very fond of. She soon realized she was hanging upside down with a gag in her mouth. "You probably know why you're here. If not, I'll help jog your memory." Looking at the man, she watched him pick up a black package of knives. The girl felt her blouse being cut open. She shivered as cold wind grazed her bare stomach. "Oh, don't you just love Beethoven? This is one of my favorite symphonies. I tend to enjoy slow and delicate things. Fun fact: I played this in my 9th grade piano recital. I was the only person in the Northeast chosen to attend Horma School of Arts. It was my lucky day. Until a motorcyclist ran over my fingers. He said it was an accident. I said the same thing when I removed his limbs, one by one. "Mon chéri, I have big plans for us tonight. Just wait and see." She listened to the blasting music to distract herself from the madman's speech. He dragged a knife down her torso stopping at her neck. "It would be a shame if I.. accidentally.. slit your throat right now." He chuckled heartily. Removing the knife from her body, he swung it around dancing to the beat. Her shivering had stopped, but a new wave of shudders had come along. Humming sweetly, he casually threw the knife into the door. "Let's get started, shall we?" He plucked the knife from the wood and thrusted it into her hanging thigh. _____ After her brother's disappearance, Hope Turner gets mysterious calls from someone using his phone. Do paranormal things, witches and magic exist? There are gifts that are waiting to be discovered. The mythical power is just waiting beyond the deepest darkest tunnel of the unknown. Only the brave learns to test the waters amidst the labyrinth of its knotted mystery. PLEASE, NO PLAGIARISM. (~Created July 6, 2018:Finished August 5, 2018~) Being engrossed in studying his current case detained him from leaving at once until he forgot the time. He never mentioned to Hera that he's going home after two decades. Only his youngest child knows of his trip back home. Whether he believes in curse or not. It's his 45th birthday tomorrow and he must be home to keep his promise to his mother. His family had never forsaken him, he did. He'd been ignoring their summons since he turned his back from them. Perhaps it's time to grant their plea. He closes his office and walks to the elevator. "Good evening, Artemis." The man in a black jacket greets him. Artemis smiles at the stranger. "Do I know you?" The stranger puts his arm around the stunned lawyer. Behind the unknown man's dark glasses are bloodshot eyes ready to scare the wits out of his prey. "Your mother does. She's expecting me to greet you happy birthday." Removing his dark glasses, he stares at his victim to corrupt his eyes. Insurmountable fear assaults Artemis as excruciating pain drills on his eyeballs. A horrible scream slits through the silence of the night when the clock strikes twelve. As the elevator opens, the stranger loosens his grip and the victim falls on the floor. Covering his bleeding eyes, Artemis winces from severe pain. The man whistles away as he walks past the dead body of the security guard in the lobby to the snowy road outside the building. His victim crawls out of the closing elevator. The curse is true. He must get into his car before his sight totally leaves him. He must warn his family. " I must save Athena!"
